(ECNS) -- The navies of China, Iran, and Russia will conduct the "Security Bond- 2025" joint exercise in mid to early March, according to news released by China's Ministry of National Defense on Sunday.
China will send the 47th naval escort fleet, consisting of the destroyer Baotou and the supply ship Gaoyouhu, to take part in the drills.
The drills are scheduled to take place in waters near Chah Bahar Port of Iran, focusing on maritime target strikes, boarding and inspection operations, damage control, and joint search and rescue missions.
The joint exercise aims to strengthen military trust and practical cooperation among the participating countries, the ministry said.
